this is more a question about history than religion in my opinion. Christianity did not really STEM from judaism... christianity was born with the coming of Jesus Christ. Judaism already existed. The thing is God sent christ his son and that's were christianity came from. Dont' you read??

All religions have truth. Judaism was the religion of the day when Jesus was born. As the focus of Christianity, it would appear Judaism came first. The rules, dogma, creeds and the Bible were all written in the first few centries AD, so there is a measure of invention beyond the origins of the formulators.

You asked two completely different questions. Historically, Christianity stemmed from Judaism. Jesus was a Jew. And Jesus' follwers (disciples) took Jesus' teachings and amended them, primarily with the belief that Jesus rose again as the Messiah 3 days after being crucified.

As far as which religion is the 'true' religion, that is a case of a) faith and b) philosophy --- what do you mean by "true" religion?! Fun stuff, right? ;)

Christianity stems from judaism. Jewish people only use the Old Testament Bible; Christians use both New and Old Testament. The new testament has depictions of Jesus. Jewish people do not believe that Jesus was the true messiah, so they did not become Christians as they are today.

Judaism was around long before Christ was born. Jews had been waiting for the Messiah but did not think Jesus was him. Christianity arouse after Jesus's ascension and differs from Judaism because Christians believe that Jesus was and is the Messiah.

The founder of Christianity was born and raised in Judaism.
Galations 3:24 says the whole Judaism thing was to help us identify the founder of Christianity ....Jesus, sometimes called the Messiah.
However, Jesus himself said the Christianity he started would eventually be corrupted.
Matthew 13:24-30
Even his apostles said the same thing
Acts 20:29
So if the question is "Which one is the true religion?"
Christianity is.
But one has to make sure its the genuine article.

Christianity is really a branch of Judaism. And there is no one true religion, all religions are true so long as at least one person has faith in that religion.
