WTO...you are more than welcome to refute what I'm saying about G. Washinton...but please don't quote another President as you did..keep on subject! Also please don't resort to name-calling..it's ugly. If you have an honest disagreement with another it okay..but don't name call. Please show more tolerance of others...in the end you'll be happier. Happy to help guide you!

Perhaps he was a religious nut case, most scholars would find otherwise, but what would that prove even if he were. A lot of Christian fundamentalists would like to re-write history to make their case that the U.S. should be a Christian nation, rather than a secular one as it is today. Is that your intent? Since Washington never wrote about being a Christian, and never took communion in the church that he attended, he was certainly not outspoken about his religious beliefs. Also, for at least a portion of his life he was a Deist like Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson said, "Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man." I could not agree more.

Indaindude, your lies get more amusing everyday!

P. S. Bite me. I'll stop using quotes when you stop using quotes. Just think of old Thomas Jefferson next time you get handed a nickle. xD

PPS. The subject is Washington and his spirituality, since like Jefferson, Washington was a Diest and, like Jefferson, he is one of the "Founding Fathers" it is entirely relavant to bring this up.

When you consider the fact that we had just left the oppression of a state mandated Church it is understandable why he felt that way.
George Washington was a devout Christian.
And to all those out there confused about Masonry, He, George Washington was a Mason, in fact the first Grand Master of Masons in America.
