First, let me extend my sympathy to you (and to your brother, unless he's happy just the way he is!), it must be very difficult.

"Mental retardation", though, is not a single disease with a potential single "cure", presumably doctors have establish what caused or probably caused your brother's condition and are treating him appropriately.

You should research exactly what it is the doctors say your brother "has" or what happened to him, that might help you in your quest.

Best wishes...

as long as you the two desire a similar issues in existence and are the two mature adequate, i do no longer see a project. issues of age upward push up whilst the two all and sundry is at very different factors in existence. Eg. an 18 year previous with a 26 year previous - the 18 year previous is before everything of their relationship existence and exploring what that's desire to be an grownup, and the 26 year previous has completed all that and is in a place to quiet down.

Mental retardation is not a "curable disease." I'm thinking that after 32 years of dealing with this, you would probably know that. If you want tests to determine his capabilities, go to your doctor.

No, unfortunately there is no cure, especially if it's of a genetic nature. Everyone will have to accept your brother how he is......best of luck to you.........

no cure is avaible, but he is specail. God show love to these people by having them like they are. it shows that they worked hard before they came to earth. if you lose someone very young, then God really wants that person back, because he love that person so much.

It probably is a genetic disorder. Can't change your genes.
