First of all, let take a look at what EVIL means: That which results in pain, sorrow, or distress. According to the Hebrew word RA` is variously translated as “bad,” “gloomy,” “ugly,” “evil,” “calamitous,” “malignant,” “ungenerous,” and “envious,” depending upon the context. (Ge 2:9; 40:7; 41:3; Ex 33:4; De 6:22; 28:35; Pr 23:6; 28:22)
According to the Greek word KA-KOS´ may be defined as that which is (1) morally evil and (2) destructive; among the ways it has been translated are: “bad,” “evil,” “hurtful,” “injurious,” “wrong.” (Ro 7:19; 12:17; Col 3:5; Tit 1:12; Heb 5:14)
As first used in the Scriptures, the word RA` is the very antithesis of good. Adam was commanded not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and bad (RA`) and was also warned of the consequences for disobedience. Hence, it is evident that God sets the standard as to what is good and what is bad; it is not within man’s prerogative to do so apart from God.
Although Adam transgressed God’s express law, this transgression is not chargeable to the creatour, “for with evil things [form of ka·kos´] God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire.”—Jas 1:13, 14; Ge 2:16, 17; 3:17-19.
So the evidence should be clear to all. Man’s efforts to govern himself independently of God have been a terrible failure. They have resulted in great human suffering. “Man has dominated man to his injury,” the Bible explains. (Ecclesiastes 8:9)

That question seems to imply that evil is a 'thing'... something that has some corporeal form of existence in the physical universe. In that sense, evil does NOT exist.
Evil 'exists' only as an abstract concept... one that is 'dualistic' in nature. 'Evil' cannot 'exist' without 'good'. They are the two sides of the same coin, in the Yin/Yang sense. One cannot 'exist' without the other; neither can be defined or described except in terms of the other.
Finally, good/evil is further abstracted in the sense that it represents a 'judgement'... not a 'thing'. As a judgement, good/evil is wholly subjective, since it relies entirely upon the 'criteria' that is employed in making the judgement.
So, a much more meaningful question woud be something like: "By what criteria do you judge good/evil?"

Not a chance.
Evil is the name we have given to things people do that we don't like.
All the evil that exists in the world lives in the hearts of men. Likewise all the good.
It is up to us to choose which one it will be. No Devils or evil spirits exist, but we like to pretend they do so we have someone else to blame besides ourselves.
By these choices we learn the lesson God sent us here to understand.
God is eternally hopeful that we learn that no response is ever appropriate to any situation other than a loving response.
What we see as evil are our greatest tests of this idea. When we learn to respond to what we see as evil with only love we have perfected the idea of love God sent us here to understand.
Looks like many have a lot to learn about love.

I once heard that the greatest trick the devil is playing on the world is that he doesn't exist. Anyways, the devil is real and thus that makes sin (evil) real. The popular belief now is that if it feels good it cannot be wrong or evil. But the Bible says in Prov 14 that a way seems right to a man but it leads to destruction. We are to follow God since we are born in sin and shapen in iniquity our nautral nature is to sin and do evil but through God we can be made whole again and become good.
All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)

Evil is defined as the act or the intention of acting which is deemed immoral to the individual, group of individuals, society, law, ethics, religion, logic, and/or history.
In other words, if you done something that is evil by others (regardless of whether or not your action is just and good), then you are labeled as such and will stick like that the rest of your life and beyond.

DOES EVIL EXIST?
The University professor challenged his students with this question"Did God create everything that exists?"A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"God created everything?" The professor asked,Yes sir", the student replied:The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil, since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are, then God is evil."The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor, quite pleased with himself, boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a
question professor?"Of course", replied the professor:The student stood up and asked, "Professor does cold exist?"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question:The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460? F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"The professor responded, "Of course it does."
The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a
term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.
To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least is does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."The professor sat down. The young man's name -- Albert Einstein (gotta love 'em)

Yes, but in a way that darkness really exists.
Light REALLY exists. Darkness is the absence of light.
Likewise, good exists. Evil is the absence of God.

I believe that evil exists in our actions. If evil is personified, it is only because the belief of millions of people over thousands of years has created personifications for it.
