can you really hear it or does the thrill come from forcing others to hear it?

You absolutely can hear it and it makes a huge difference if you are a true audiophile.

Subwoofers are mostly known for their explosive boom in young people's trunks simply placed their to draw attention to themselves and irritate others. However, these same speakers in the hands of a true audiophile are adjusted and integrated with the other speakers to provide a smooth and balanced frequency response - sounding as though you were live at the concert listening to the artist.

Did you ever think about how it improves dirving skills?

It increases the base in music + it gives an extra beat to your heart.
So you are more ready to burn tyres.

Others can only feel the base. They can't hear the sound comes of a woofer clearly but they feel it inside their bodies.

So it's not forcing to listen but a real way of head turning for a real sports car.

if you are a music lover then definitely the sub is a must it isn't the same if the music sounds like it's coming from a tin can you won't be satisfied the music doesn't sound complete without it. for me great sound system is when you listen to it in a low volume and you can hear the beat of the drum and bass guitar clearly coz rhythm guitars and other instrument are always audible in low volume but not those two

it increases the richness and quality of the sound it the music, (would you put together an orchestra without having a precusion section). Yes some a**holes do play their music way to loud just to get a reaction from others but most people that are truely serious about thier music and thier sound systems dont' go "bumping" all around town just to piss others off. What I'd like to know if you don't like it why don't you just roll up your windows?

The purpose is to woof the sub. It's not something you can hear because the eardrums are blown, but the impact of the sound causes your body to vibrate like a tuning fork.

We own sub woofers to increase the quality and density of sound which normal speakers can't provide.

making the field ( cupboard ) isnt problematical its how your going to ability it, you pick a sub amp, or a passive equipment to run it considering maximum preamps or receivers have a low aspect output, as a outcome no amplification for subs, im particular you could piece it mutually, ive under no circumstances carried out it yet anythings achieveable

Cuz I can afford more than sub-par woofers.

Without subwoofers you would have no base at all and your music would sound terrible some people just like to crank it really loud
