Good question.
Frankly, its not suppose to be the MEASURE.
Its suppose to be a GUIDELINE.
Our ernestness in applying that guideline is the measure.

The Basis of religion is righteousness! Religion is the way, the pointer to the Truth. Religion is for self realisation as oneness of body, mind and Universal soul.Essence of every religion is Oneness! So its not a measure but the way to realise Self.

Religion is not the measure of anything, but a true relationship with Jesus Christ is. Religion will not take you to Heaven, Only through Jesus can we know the father and assure our home in Heaven

Because as art imitates life, so too does religion imitate man. Religion is a reflection of all things we are prone to believe, and as such is a measure of who and what we are.

religion isnt a measure of anything. Just stick with the golden rule, if you can keep that each day of your life, you do well. but still lack something.

movements can fool you. have you ever been stabbed contained in the back. you imagine you're witnessing love even as in reality it isn't. How do you tell the version between an act of love and an act of duty. And love genuinely won't be able to be measured.

Religion is not the measure of "all things." It's a way of aligning ourselves with divinity, whatever we perceive that to be. To be truly aligned, it should permeate all aspects of our lives, should affect everything we do.

For there to be common morals there needs to be a "moral law" giver. The only suitable moral law giver is God, because he is the definition of what is good. While Christians are called to uphold God's good morals in society, they are not called upon to command authority over everyone; but sadly history is stained with so-called Christians doing so.

That's where the mistake lies. We should compare or measure ourselves and our actions to Christ and not religion.
