Articles I read in Yahoo! Personals on dating suggested that if a man doesn't kiss a woman on the lips after five dates, the "relationship" should end. There's also the saying "If you don't kiss her on the first date, you're a gentleman. If you don't kiss her on your second date, you're gay."
My thinking/view before:
1) You should find out if a girl really loved you before kissing, embracing or having sex with her. Kissing/sex is for marriage.
2) If you don't end up marrying her then it was never worth it kissing because you lose the one you adored/admired and weren't able to keep her. You'd feel cheated/used.
3) Dating isn't about marriage but exploring the opposite sex and working out what you want.
Was I wrong to think like that? Does it turn a girl off to not kiss her or not ask for sex, even if I tell her I'm waiting for true love/marriage? Wouldn't a woman want me to hold back? How long am I allowed to put it off? Should I find a girl with the same attitude?

Do like you fell it is appropriate for you and for her.Don't read rules, there are millions of them.If you are listening all of them you will loose your mind.

i think you have the right attitude...do go along with that & find a girl who shares your attitude too. Meanwhile, go ahead and date. A peck on the cheek or maybe a hug on the first or 2nd date is good, because most women enjoy touch in some way, so you are not wrong in wanting to touch or hold a woman. As for the intimate bit....it depends on both partners. Ask your girl if she wants it or not. We all have a 'comfort zone', so it is always best to ask, and don't worry if you feel u sound weird to ask! One more thing: if you really like a girl, tell her in words or show it in actions (maybe giving her a bouquet of roses)..it's the small & simple things that really matter in the end. It's when both of you are happy to go that next step.
Females generally know when it's time for that next step. Don't force the issue and don't expect it to happen just because it's date number 2 or 22 or even 222.
Relationship are all about having mutal respect and the ability to talk to each other, if you both can talk about being intimate, then that might be the time to take it further.

Honey your a sweetheart but I don't thinky there are alot of girls like you out there. You may be putting a girl off by not kissing her, but if that's what you believe then you stick to it. When you find the right girl you will know and you can give yourself to her. Don't let anybody tell you any different. Enjoy dating it is where you will find your life. Yes life and wife they are the same.....
