Yes, with the premise that God is omnipotent, He can build such a huge mountain. However, I don't think He has any reason to do so, because that would minimize his omnipotence in that He wouldn't be able to do anything else. It's like finding a genie from a lamp, getting three wishes and on the first wish wishing that you had no more wishes! So, to sum up, if God is omnipotent, which I believe He is, then He could build such a huge mountain, but He probably wouldn't because it would be a detriment to his further actions (which may not only be involved with his omnipotence but also his omniscience, omni-benevolence, etc.).

Can God almighty create a thing which he cannot destroy?
God cannot do anything and everything. There are so many things that God almighty cannot do.
Can God be born? One of the characteristics of God is that He is not born. If we say that God almighty was born, then there was a time when He didn't exist. And if there was a time when He didn't exist, For Him to come into existence, somebody has to make Him exist. So there is somebody else who is really God not Him. If we say that God almighty cannot be born, we are also saying that The Creator cannot become His creation. Because creation means what is in need of a Creator. To you be a creature, means that there has to be someone who create you. So if God became His creation, that means He is now in need of a creator. THIS IS IMPOSSIBILITY AND ABSURDITY!
Can God create a stone which is too heavy for Him to lift?
God almighty cannot be unjust. The moment when God become unjust, he ceases to be God. Because it's one of quality of God almighty that he is JUST.
The Qur’an says:
"Allah is never unjust In the least degree." [Al-Qur’an 4:40]
God cannot be cruel.
God almighty cannot throw me out of his domain. He can obliterate me. He can kill me. He can vanish me. But he cannot throw me out of his domain. WHERE WILL HE THROW ME? Everything belongs to him.
God cannot create a tall-short man. Yes he can make a tall man short. But no longer will he remains tall. But you cant have a tall-short man. You can have a medium man, who is neither tall nor short. But you cant have a man who is tall and short at the same time.
nowhere does the Quran says that God can do everything, Quran says in several places that God has the power over all things. There is world of a difference between "Allah can do everything and Allah have the power over everything"
Allah says in holy Quran (85:16)
"He does what He intends (or wills)"
Whatever he intends he can do. But God does only Godly things. He does not do Ungodly things.
When we muslims say "God almighty can do all things", we are talking about all things that are consistent in Him being God. Not included the absurdity, impossibility and the things which make "God" no longer "God".
ISLAM HAS LOGICAL ANSWER FOR THIS QUESTION
EDIT >>>>>> ==============================...
"His command when He desires a thing is just to say to it, “Be!” and it is." (Qur’an, 36: 82)

im agnostic but if theres really an all powerful god that fits the description of the christians then yes he can! he created people which he couldnt control. in christian philosophy we are free to choose right from wrong, remember? but that doesnt mean we are more powerful than this god. same with the mountain.the mountain may be too heavy for him but that doesnt make the mountain more powerful than god.

God is all-powerful, but he can't do everything. He's all-powerful within the constraints of His nature which means he can do anything that doesn't contradict anything else about Himself. So, for instance, since God is also perfectly moral, God cannot lie. So since it's not in God's nature to do simple parlor tricks, God cannot make something so big that He couldn't move it.

God doesn't live on earth. God doesn't have a bodily form. He could build a huge mountain, but it would be pointless for the reason you wanted. No offense to you, but that question was just assanine.

Why would God spend His time doing something that is so useless. The Bible says to not put the Lord your God to the test. Yes. He can do anything but that is a stupid thing to think about. God is not interested in doing circus tricks for anybody.

It's a paradox, because God is defined as all-powerful, yet he cannot "make" something defined as a thing he cannot move.
Similarly, God canbnot change himself so he no longer has God's powers. It's a contradiction in terms.

This is a common question, taking various forms: can god make a cookie too big for him to eat, a stone too heavy to lift, etc etc etc....
The answer is always that he can but doesn't.
