check on the internet to find out if you have a Lumber Liquidator store in your area this type of store would be the most reasonable,if not try Lowes or Home Depot. There is a product on the market that has a 50 year warranty it,s name is Bellawood check it out.

You know what I have found? Actually you don't...so I will tell you. I have lived with hardwoods and laminates and I can attend that the laminate stands up to wear and tear superbly. I would advise if you are going to put hardwood into a high traffic area look at laminates and see if you like the look because I know you will enjoy the ease of care and the durablility, and the cost and ease of installation.

Have you thought of laminate flooring? I think it's less expensive and more durable than hardwood. Don't know where you are from, but check places like Home Depot. Good luck!

Try cork or bamboo. They are both more ECO friendly because they replinish faster, therefore you are not destroying the worlds forest's just to have wood floors, plus they are very pretty and durable.

I prefer Pergo. It isn't wood but looks like it and is much easier to care for.
