I keep waking up past 10:00am when I am suppose to wake up at 9:00pm! When I do wake up at 9:00pm I just fall right back to sleep instead of getting up. How can I motivate myself to get up when I wake up at 9:00pm so it becomes a habit? This is really causing problems... Help.

Not sure if you mean alarm clocks don't wake you up at all, since you mention getting motivated to actually wake up at 9am. If an alarm clock actually wakes you up, but you just turn it off and go back to sleep, then I do the exact same thing. I tell my girlfriend to do anything to get me up, but she doesn't do anything to help.

What I've read about and am going to try is a baby monitor. You put an alarm clock next to the coffee maker in the kitchen, and set up a baby monitor so that when the alarm clock goes off, you actually have to walk to another room to turn it off, and not just across the room (which doesn't work for me, I just lay back down). Then you turn the alarm off, and the coffee is right there.

Also, I've read that you should "train" yourself during the day to turn off your alarm clock, and get out of bed. During the day when you have free time, set your alarm for 5 minutes ahead, then lay down. When the alarm goes off, turn it off and immediately sit up and strech, take a big breath of air, get up, stretch, and whatever else you want to do. Then repeat. After a while of this, your body should be "trained" to do this when the alarm clock goes off in the morning, instead of being "trained" to just turn it off and go back to sleep.

You might have a problem with sleep apnea. You should go get a sleep study done. You probably can't wake up because you are not getting good sleep. My husband has this problem. He stops breathing at night, but has no idea he is doing it. He had a sleep study done. They gave him this mask to wear at night that forces air into him when he stops breathing and now he doesn't even snore any more. It is a serious problem. You should have it done.

Use a very loud alarm clock that rings for a long time and put it far away from you. That way, you'll have to get up to put it off.

I have this problem too... it is always difficult to wake up... one way to resolve this is to timetable you sleeping time... say you need to get up at 9am then you should be in bed and asleep by 11.30pm and keep to this routine strictly ... over time you'll be used to it and voila...
