Broccoli Salad Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
2 bunches broccoli, florets only (5 to 6 cups florets)
1 medium red onion, chopped
1/2 cup raisins
10 to 12 slices bacon, fried and crumbled

Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 teaspoons sugar
PREPARATION:
Separate florets from broccoli stalks. Save the remainder of the broccoli for another use or freeze for later. Combine salad ingredients; top with dressing mixture. Chill and serve. Shared by Morgaine.

Broccoli Bacon Salad
1 bunch of broccoli
1 small red onion
1 cup raisins
6 strips turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/4 cup pine nuts
3 tablespoons vinegar
1/3 cup low-fat mayonnaise
1/3 cup sugar
Mix vinegar, mayonnaise and sugar together to make the dressing. Set aside. Separate the broccoli into the florets and chop the onion until coarse. In a large bowl, mix together the broccoli, onions, raisins, and pine nuts. Pour dressing over the broccoli mixture and coat thoroughly.

Is a great potluck or buffet dish.
1 bunch broccoli, about 3 stalks
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
12 slices bacon, crispy fried
1 cup whole roasted sunflower seeds
1/2 cup raisins
1 cup mayonnaise (light or regular)
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons vinegar
To make salad;Completely chop broccoli,bitesize pieces.
Add onion,crumble bacon and add sunflower seed and raisins.
To make dressing;Combine mayo,sugar and vinegar,mix until sugar is dissolved.
Add vegetables.Toss.
Let salad steep for a while before serving.

1 cup (4-ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 to 3 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
Place broccoli into large pot of boiling water, cook for 1 minute. Immediately pour into a colander and drain. Plunge broccoli into a large bowl of ice water; drain.
Combine broccoli, carrots, cheese and bacon in a large bowl; gently toss.
Combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; mix well. Add mayonnaise mixture to broccoli mixture and toss well. Cover and chill before serving.
Makes 10 to 12 serving

The one I've used is the one with the raisins and sunflower seeds, but sometimes I make one using a head of broccoli, a head of cauliflower, both chopped into bite-size pieces, shredded cheese and a whole lot of ranch dressing. Yumm-o

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Therefore as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
