In law, it's self defence to hit someone ONLY if you can't get away from them. You are expected to try to escape before you resort to harming your attacker.
That said, it's time you lay down the law to this violent lady. If it's a situation you can leave, like a friend, tell her that if it happens again, that's going to be the last time; you are gone out of her life forever. If you can't leave, like it's a family member or a neighbor, tell her that assaulting you is a crime and you are going to involve the police.

Honestly, never. To begin with, she needs to grow up and learn to talk things out, haven't you heard you get further with honey than vinegar. If that is not possible, then you need to walk, it takes a bigger Man to walk. And if I were you I'D keep on walking,cause once allowed they will continue to.

if she's hitting u for stupid reasons then hit her back because she shouldn't be hitting u in the first place...girls think that they can do that and get away with it ....it's not fair for male/female to abuse each other like that....if u don't like it leave her
