They say they do not get upset when God is mentioned, however check any responses they leave for christian based questions or comments. They say don't shove religion down our throat, yet they choose to be in a section that state religion and spirituality, a section where they know people will be talking of God. They say we don't discriminate, but just pay attention to the reponses I will receive to this simple question.

Why are they so bitter about a God that does not exist? I do not get upset at evolutionists and curse them out, because I do not share their beliefs, therefore I could careless. Even though evolutionists and aetheists shove their beliefs in our face and our children faces in school. We should not share ours, however they are forcing their's upon us and our children.

Who is shoving belief down who's throat? It seems to me it is the minority of aetheists, who are hell bent on having it there way.

I keep wondering the same thing myself!

I was thinking, when a female posts a question, writing, "GUYS ONLY PLEASE," or a male posts a "LADIES ONLY PLEASE" question, the opposite sex doesn't rage, "HEY! I'll answer any question I want to! It's a free country! Freedom of Speech is in the Constitution! You're just a bigot!" Now, do they?

So, I don't really understand why, when a Christian asks for prayer or guidance or anything else and asks for only other Christians to respond, why non-Christians feel like they have to post a disparaging rant.
Is it really just to get two points? So, so sad.

Non-Christians want to berate Christians for being "closed-minded" but you don't see us filling up every non-Christian Religion & Spirituality question with "You're so stupid for not believing in Jesus!"

For Sleek-you're wise beyond your years.

For Vampire Kitti-Isn't "atheism" the absence of spirituality? Do atheists believe they have souls? I'm curious.

G-d bless you for your question, G-d bless those courageous enough to defend our Lord, and G-d bless and bless again all those who are lost!

I totally understand where you are coming from. Do no let them bother you. They do not recognize the Moral Law. They would get bored among themselves, so they like to attack believers.

Once upon a point ( I cannot say "time" because time did not exist yet) of infinite density...there was nothing in the nothing ( no matter ) nothing was spinning around...and then out of nothing, nothing came BIG BANG...and nothing became something, then there was everything...then everything named something matter...ha haa...sad really ...indeed, sadly the matter did not have a mind....and its only company was a change!!!!And the change was a brilliant artist, but blind. And the mindless matter learned to paint ...painted universe, countless galaxies were there ...and the cosmic masterpiece was created...or should I use word "created"...created by a blind artist and a mindless matter! HELLO?!

SO NO WONDER OUR THEORY IS MORE AMAZING... This is pretty amazing too, and they get upset when we call it a theory!

Life, even in bacteria, is too complex to have occured by change.

We are all people. I love the Lord. I want to spread the Gospel. So I choose to be everywhere. When you are living a Christian life, you are swimming against the current, and you will get hurt time to times. If you go with the flow, you hardly ever get hit by anything. If you do not like where the free flow is taking you...start swimming to the other direction!!! What ever you are hit with, cannot smash your soul and even if you die for it, you will have everlasting life with Jesus. Worth it?? I think so.

Jesus told us that there would be scoffers and that we would be hated because of His name. We are hated and they do hate us. They make lite of what we believe because they can not or will not understand. They blame the past judgments of others on what all believers are. In your belief it is true, you have something special that they only wise they could understand and that is a peace of mind that only comes thought your faith.

Believe that there is something Greater then yourself,. know that you have a purpose and there is a reason for your being. That you have a Father in Heaven that loves you and knew you even before you were born. These are things that no money can buy, and no man can take away. These are thing that in the face of all wrongs I can hold on to. They are thing of hope and courage, a promise of a better tomorrow.

These are what many are missing and though they try they never seem to find on their on. Why do you think that drugs affect people the way they do? They are looking for escape from the things of this world, They are missing the very things that you have and they are trying to find something anything to give them their hearts desires. The love that you know and they don't even realize that they are in search of it.

I think this topic sparks lots of debate for one reason or another and people are drawn to drama. Both sides have those who truly think that their belief is RIGHT and therefore nobody else can be. They want to help others understand and see why they are right. Then there are others who may believe one way or another, but for some reason have this need to display their beliefs in an argumentative way.

Bottom line is we all believe what we believe. One side is not going to change the other side's opinions. The beauty of living in America (sorry for those who don't) is that we don't have to all believe the same thing. We can be neighbors and you can be Atheist and I can be Buddhist and Jimmy down the street can be Christian and we can all be friends and go to the 4th Fireworks tonight...

They get verbally militant when Christians are poor role models of how they think a Christian should be. Christians should use Jesus as the example, not other Christians. I knew people who didn't want to be a Christian because a certain blatant Christian may have had an unchristian obvious quirk. If Christians were perfect we wouldn't need to go to church or read the Bible. We wouldn't need a savior.
Theres a song called "I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day." Its by Bruce Carroll. Christians should live the life, not just talk it. Most Christians are poor examples.

I think it's strange that most atheists seem to vent their anger at Christians. What about Islam, Judaism, Hinduism and any other religion that believes in gods and spirits?
I don't think I've ever heard an atheist rant about having Krishna or Vishnu shoved down their throats.
If atheists want the mention of God to be erased, who exactly is doing the shoving down throats?

Erm...where are all these 'hate filled' responses you're on about...!? I read them all and could not see 'Hate' in any of them, only possible irritation, disbelief, sarcastic humor and agreement from your fellow xtians.
It seems like you are the one getting upset my friend....calm down. Your attitude shows your spiritual doubt.
Just because someone disagrees with you, does not mean they are filled with hate. Be wary of the fact you may need to see this 'hate' where non is present just to help reinforce your belief system. Sure, there are people, both religious and otherwise, that cannot control their emotions and feel the need to resort to derogatory remarks, like generalising for example, but those with spiritual strength and intellect, (religious or not) do not need to express their views in a wholly disrespectful manner, unless it's appropriate.
I think perhaps, YOU SHOULD APOLOGISE (if your pride will allow you) to those you included in your generalisations, for example, I quote you; "check ANY responses they leave for christian based questions or comments." I see many respectful comments left my non religious people to christian questions. Ask yourself this: why can't you see them?

;)

I shall not hold my breath for an apology though. Although pride is a sin, many xtians seem unable to control that aspect of themselves. You do not seem any different. I'd be happy for you to prove me wrong!

P L, please revise your defenition of 'Theory'. It is not what you think it means. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory

Hmmm, 2 days and still no apology. Seems you're a typical, if somewhat more deluded xtian. I thought as much, lol!

I think that people who believe in god shove it down everyone else's throat.....it is amazing how many times I have heard that I am a sinner, will go to hell and I need to find god (didn't know he was lost, so you might want to check the pound....lol)....anyways I have not met many aetheists that are always talking about how god does not exist but I have met many people telling me that god does exist and I have to agree with their way of living life.

I am not bitter about god because to me he/she/it does not exist! You can feel free to tell me I am going to hell because it does not exist either!

Maybe you should send your children (if you have any) to a private religious school? that way you can have as much religion as you want in school and not teach YOUR beliefs to my children....

Why can't we have it our way? It is no different than you having it your way...just a different point of view...

You're reading the minds of me and any person who is not an atheist on this site. We have, what 100 categories from which to choose! I asked a similar question and the best answer came from a guy who said that they are like moths to the fire. They do not understand the light, but have no choice but to gather near it and buzz around it. The bible makes it clear about the anguish of those who reject truth and reject GOD. ALL THEIR WAYS ARE FOLLY. A FOOL says in his heart, "There is no God." They are acting just the way Our Father told us they would.
