I used a pre/pro biotic combo along with a patented multi-vitamin to get rid of mine.

I think I have experienced IBS. Its the feeling we get to go to the loo after taking food. Even after paiing motion one wont have the feeling that every dirt has come out. It is better to consult a gastroentrologist if your problem is very severe. I manage with taking antacids though people say it is not good. But what to do! One cannot be going to a Dr. every now and then. So dont worry much or pay heed to certain body ailments. Thats my policy.

My husband had it after getting the Rotarivus his doctor told him to eat yogurt sinse it contains acidophilus. The acidolilus should balance the bacteria in your bowls. Oh and he has had the IBS sinse March when he had the Rotarivus and just found out that he has the IBS last week. He is feeling somewhat better. Good luck.

I only suffer IBS after eating at Taco Bell. ;) Seriously though, if you're looking for treatment, best thing to do is go to a colon specialist.

IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) is common actually. Even though I don't have it I know people who do. There is actually some stuff you can get from your doctor to help you out.

Me and a few of my friends have it. What works for me doesn't always work for my friends. When I start getting stomach aches i take pepto bismo. For me it helps to either clear up the symptoms or bring them on faster. I also take a pain reliever if I can. Now the pepto bismo doesn't work for my friends but I have been doing it that way for 15 years.
None of us have a sure way to deal with it. I just try to ease the pain of the attacks!
My feelings about it? It sucks! The pain can be horrible! I take it day by day! Good luck!

there are many medications used for it. it stands for irritable bowel syndrome. stress can cause it, a virus or infection can cause it. some illnesses can cause it and you can have it for life. you either get diarreaha or constipated and have to treat both at the same time. gerd can cause ot also. once you get it, you more or less have it for life. it comes and goes in some people and others it stays on a daily basis.
