Who would win a war, Iran or Israel. Who do you want to win?

Militarily Israel would win, because Iran's military power (despite the size projection that many people fall for) is actually quite poor. Israel's Merkava IV/III tanks can easily wipe out the Chieftain/M60/M48/M47 (ironically these are Western made), locally made Zulfiquar/Tosan and Russian/Chinese T-72/T-55 tanks. The training of the Infantry can make a difference, but the odds are still In Israel's favor (Iran's infantry dont look too good, judging from the Iran-Iraq War of 1988). The Israeli Air Force is impressive, and Iran's suffers from a loss of spare parts (again much of their junk is Western, including the famed F-14 Tomcat, so their estrangement from the West left these planes essentially rotting). Iran's only hope in the air are those surface to air missiles that the Russians keep selling them. The Navy wont matter in this game, though the Israelis are also powerful here. Israel most likely will activate its 200 or so inactive/incomplete nukes if Iran gets even one bomb ready. Politically it depends on whoever starts the f*cking war, though recently Iran's president with the annoyingly long name said Israel should be wiped out from the Map, so most likely Iran will start the war (for those pro-Islam/Anti-Israel idiots, give me a copy of an Israeli manifesto saying they want to remove Islam (or Iran) from the Map). Personally Israel should win, but they should refrain from occupying Iran when they do so, just kill off enough of the Iranian (and any nation/group who allies with them) armies so that they too will get sick of the war and negotiate (unlikely as it seems). If it goes nuclear then the world is pretty much screwed.

Iranians are a very sophisticated and intelligent people who have had their country hijacked by Islamic radicals thanks to the ineptness of President Jimmy Carter. The war we are in with that sect of the Muslim religion in certain areas of the world was nourished by the naivety and stupid decisions Carter made while president. He not only made a disaster of our economy then, but our future peace as well, and we are paying a huge price for that now.

Israelis are sophisticated and very intelligent as well. There is no reason these two people should be going to war with each other. World effort should be directed at getting rid of the maniacs that have controlled Iran since Carters failure to protect out national interest back in the late 1970s. But if that can not be done and the maniacs controlling Iran continue with their threats against Israel, and war breaks out, Israel will win because they will go for the jugular and wipe out the maniacs running the country thereby "freeing" the Iranian people who want their freedom and democracy not a theocracy.

Isreal would win if the conflict started now. Isreal has nuclear weapons and an extensive technologically advanced military. Iran has more people and thus more potential in numbers of troops but they would be nothing if facing an advanced program like Isreal's.
But even if Iran gets "the bomb" Isreal's international relations provide them with an arsenol of allies who are equally well equiped - like us, for example.
I also believe that Isreal's will to survive is stronger than Iran's desire to destroy them. However, I am not really sure of that since I have much better inormation about Irreal than Iran.
Of this I am certain. A world order folowing the destruction of Isreal by Iran is completely unacceptable to the western powers.
We simply cannot let that happen. The long range consequences are just too disturbing.

This would be a very big mess because all the Arabs have very deep issues with Big Satan and Little Satan. it would not just be iran. I'm sure you realize how many nationals from countries outside of Iraq have gone in to fight the American occupiers. Can you imagine the extent of the war if all the countries ban together against the two Satans? if no nuclear weapons are used, we might say good-bye to Israel. then an arab country other than Palestine would want to occupy that territory.

What would the US do with all the pro-israeli lobbies in Washington. It would get pretty ugly. How would the rest of the world respond? We already knw what Britain would do.

Israel, since it has a very advanced army and the US to back it up. I wouldnt like anyone to win, because war is wrong in the first place, but I belive that Israel is causing harm to arabic countries.

Any country that decides to attack Israel, and should Israel appear to lose, even with US arms support, the US will be militarily involved, regardless of politics in US.
If US allowed Israel to fall to another regime, the WWII holocaust
would be diminished in comparison to the results of that event.
In the scenario of someone using an atomic bomb against Israel,
neither country is likely to survive, and US would also suffer some of those consequences.

I dont know but it is not the job of the united states to takr care of israel or any other forienge nation how our government tries to help the rest of the world while neglecting the domestic problems is just as silly as a man helping other peoples kids and not his own

Israel. They have willpower and the firepower. They would have no second thoughts about an all-out air attack that would turn Iran into a huge sandbox.
