Use 5% Sevin dust.....can be found in any garden store or retail store like Walmart, Kmart in the garden section. A little goes a long way and it not very expensive! Works just fine directly on animals and can be sprinkled in the yard or the carpet in the house to kill remaining fleas. The generic is fine, too, just make sure it is 5% and NOT the 10%.

I don't know how this would work for a dog, but it does work for a cat. Try using the original Dawn dish soap, the blue kind. Also, you did not say what kind or size dog you have. For help with fleas if you have carpet is to powder the floor with table salt and let it sit for about an hour or long if possible then vaccum. The salt will kill the fleas and dry the eggs so they don't hatch..... good luck.

Garlic tablets will help. Also, chrysanthemums are the source for Frontline, which is expensive. If you take a bunch of chrysanthemum flowers and make a LOT of tea out of it, wash the animal in the tea. It's SUPPOSED to work, but I've never tried it.

Good luck; fleas suck.

if you get a glue trap and put a light over it at night in a dark room the fleas will be atracted to the light and will get stuck on the trap. it will take about a week to get rid of all the fleas. you can buy a flea device like this at jeffers.com or you can make one like i said. good luck!

My grandfather gave his dogs garlic pills and it worked well... try that... but to get rid of the fleas ASAP you might need to dip your animal and bomb your house, you know with a flea fogger....
