well the other day, my mom had a cookout, and invited some people, its was all cool an erthing, but after she had a couple of rum, and mudslides(alchohol) she started 2 dance(she can barely dance anymore since she's almost 50), then everybody was just watching, and cheering her on. they thought it was a fun moment, but 4 me it wasn't, it was soooooo embarassing, expecially when they wanted me 2 dance with her. she ruined my night.!
am i the only person who's been this embarssed by a family member?

She can barely dance anymore since she's almost 50! RAOFLMAO honey! How old are YOU? You must be at that "awkward young teen" age when you're embarrassed to simply HAVE parents. Good grief girl, there's nothing wrong with having a couple drinks and doing a little dancing at a party! If you let a little thing like THAT "ruin" your night, then you need to stop being so damn sensitive.

The embarrassing person in my family is my dad, and it's only one thing. He eats in restaurants frequently, but is a very stingey tipper -- like $1 for a $20-30 tab. Not only that, he checks the table to make sure no one ELSE leaves anything for the poor server!

I was playing Monopoly with my brother (and it was a full games, so we had six people playing).

Normally, he is very good, but this time, he was off his game.

When I got him trapped, and he was losing big time, he flung the board across the room and declared that this was a stupid game. We never did find all the pieces.

Your mom was just "letting her hair down". I know how embarrased you must have felt, but if she's not a DRUNK and only drinks on occasion, she's just trying to have some fun. It's hard to just let go,especially when you are raising kids and teaching them about lifes' lessons.
Just REMIND her how funny she was. She'll be the one embarrased! :-)

My dad, he's SO protective. He won't let me do anything with my friends. That's why nobody invites me over to their parties.
