A dentist or dental hygienist will perform a thorough cleaning of the teeth and gums. Following that, persistent oral hygiene is necessary. The removal of plaque is usually not painful, and the inflammation of the gums should be gone between one and two weeks. Oral hygiene is required to prevent the recurrence of gingivitis. Anti-bacterial rinses or mouthwash may reduce the swelling and local mouth gels which are usually antiseptic and anaesthetic can also help.
Please see the webpage for more details on Gingivitis.

Good brushing of the teeth along with flossing at least twice daily for both. Also rinse your mouth daily with hydrogen peroxide. Be careful not to swallow it though. It will give you a major stomach gas issue for a while.

The dentist can give you a prescription of a peroxide solution to rinse with. Proper brushing and flossing will help too but see the dentist

You just need to BRUSH often. Use listerine as well. Make sure you brush at least after every meal and before you go to sleep. Also, taking a daily vitamin can indeed help.

If you're to lazy to brush, then have 'em all pulled! Maybe you'd like to see 'em in a glass next to ya on the side of the bed
