Independence to me means the freedom to live, worship, and believe as I choose as long as it doesn't infringe upon an others choice. I love my country and many of the men in my family are veterans so yes I am patriotic. The soldiers of our country protect our freedom.I value my freedom highly it is second only to my feelings for my faith and my family.

Independence means freedom from oppression...that is what our founding mothers and fathers were looking for when they came here (wanting freedom from England's religious and other oppression).
I love my country (U.S.A.)--which does not mean I love who is in the White House.
I am patriotic--I get a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes when I hear the National Anthem sung.
Yes, somebody is messing up my independence--The Bush administration, just look at what has been taken away from us in the name of "National Security" since he's been in office. Also, the mindset of some people who are controlling, manipulative, power hungry and down right evil in nature.
I value my freedom highly, what else would I have if I didn't have freedom? Most people don't seem to understand that this country was founded on that principal, which is a Christian foundation. The Bible speaks of "freedom in Christ" and that covers a lot of ground.
You also have to take your freedom too, which is difficult to fully explain here, but in a nut shell, you have to be wise and know the difference between what is a load of manure and what is truth. Don't buy everything you are told, you see on the T.V., what you hear out of this presidents mouth, etc.

Independence means breaking free from the chains of tyranny.
I love my country and feel proud to be a citizen of the USA
I'm very patriotic and we need more patriotic people in this country.
No one will mess this country up as long as people are willing to stand up to our people in office because they work for us not the other way around.
The people of the United States protect our independence because we can't rely on the government to do that.
I value my freedom greatly and wish others in the world could experience it.

First of all I'm not from the U. S. A.
I'm not really patriotic and I don't really love my country, but I believe if I was born to this place, I must live my life here.
As for freedom, I rather value only my mental freedom. Of course, I would be very angry if I was tortured without a reason, but I don't mind if I have a king or a party ruling (there is not much difference these days anyway).

Yes I love my Country, and would never be disloyal to it or my fellow Americans. I'm working today, but no-one will mess up my day. I will think about my fellow American in harms way, and the ones that were there and made this country what it is today---FREE!(I'll also remember 9-11 today) AMERICANS ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE!!

I protect my own independence, the little there is, by being aware and involved.
