My daughter uses a straightening iron, every day...and her hair is beautiful! But she uses a ceramic iron...not a metal one. Change to ceramic which does NOT damage the hair. And just slide the hair through...she also uses conditioner every day, one that goes with the shampoo she uses, but not heavily, just a light bit, rubbing in gently and rinsing out immediately after that.

You HAVE to protect your hair when you use that flattening iron!!!

It's not that the flattening iron is not good for your hair, it's that you don't need to stay too long in one spot.

As for conditioning, Redken has everything you could possibly need for your hair. The products are ALL concentrated, so they take VERY LITTLE, last longer, and are well worth the extra money you pay. It takes SO LITTLE to go a LONG way.

Just be natural. Only iron if it's special occasion. or get the permanent straight hair by going to salon. It last pretty long time until your roots have outgrown alot.
