Obviously not.
I thought it was busy because of the census, Bethlehem was the city of David, David's son Solomon had 300 wives so must have had many children, if all of their descendents had to go back to Bethlehem it would have been very busy.
Also, Jewish tradition says that the Messiah will come at the time of the feast of Tabernacles, which is one of the feasts fo which everyone had to go to Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is right next to Jerusalem.

xmas is not mentioned in the bible Christmas is a pagan holiday that the romans Invented,But everywhere you go youll see a nativity scene and theres baby jesus, the manger, sheep, shephards,Mary,Joseph and santa claus, right in the middle Who the fuk is he ,is he Mary's(birthing) coach, santa has nothing to do with anything
History exposes the holiday as nothing more than a pagan obsevance dressed up in christian garb.
Christmas predates Christ, by many centuries,Tertullian,an early cleric of the Catholic Church(ad.155-220)taught that christmas and newyear's seasons were pagan ,in other words they were based on the polytheistic predecessors, these dates stretched from early december to january,to of wholly heathen practices
we see that when jesus was born ,shephards were spending nights with their flocks in open fields,in that region from Dec-Feb,though the heat of the day might feel comfortable enough the night was piercing thus they would never keep their flocks&herds out in the open.it was simply to cold,Also Caeser augustus would never consciously choose a time to register every man, woman, child when travelling would have been so dificult because of the cold.
If you think that the winter winds were not that bad,may i remind you of the words from Christ in the Gospal
'pray that your flight be not in winter' (Hislop,p.92)

If you look earlier on in the gospels it states that the then Roman Emperor, Ceaser Augustus, had issued a census of the Empire and that all people had to return to he places they were born, therefore creating a large influx of people, especially in Bethlehem which wasn't that big.
