Canola is light, but olive oil is probably more healthy for you. Depending on what kind of cooking you're doing, you can probably use spray oil. That way you also use less. Avoid saturated & hydrogenated oils.

Olive oil is healthy but quite heavy in viscosity. If a recipe calls for a light oil, it is referring to vegetable oil usually.
