Never use drug store Sham/Cond. The are wax based as opposed to water based. That wax will sit on your strands and build up. You will end up with weighed down dull shine-less hair. Always use professional products. Stuff like Aussie and Tressemme are garbage. Think about this...you have only the hair on your head. Treat is as good as possible. Go to a salon so someone can view your hair and give you a recommendation on what you should use.

I'm not a cosmetologist but I worked in a salon for 2 years as the receptionist & learned a lot. They used Schwarzkopf products (not many salons even know about this line) mostly for their haircolor & O.S.I.S. line of styling products. I absolutely loved everything of their line that I ever used.

For thinning hair Nioxin was a best seller in our salon just outside of Nashville, TN. They make Nioxin Protectives for color treated or chemical treated(permed/relaxed) hair; & Nioxin Actives for normal untreated hair. It's a little expensive, but if your hair is thinning it needs quality products to improve the health of your hair & preserve it. Check out their website-

They have vitamins & other stuff which is costly but after long term use I have seen pretty amazing results on others.

Good luck!

never use store bought brands, all they will do is dry your hair out and leave a waxy build up on it...i've heard schwarzkopf is very good and Matrix has anything under the sun for whatever you need.. and so does Redken....just make sure that where ever you do buy it from that if you don't like it that you can return it within a certain time period!

Buy a shampoo that is for your hair type, don't worry about fancy names and nice packaging, the important thing is to rotate your brand of shampoo regularly and don't use a conditioner, it will just make thin hair limper.

yes, Schwarzkopf is a VERY respected brand name. REDKEN has a shampoo or hair care product for EVERYthing!

Nobody would think this is a serieus question.

Everybody knows hairtype, colouring etc. etc. are very important.

Only if you ask serieus pointed questions you can expect a serieus answer. Bla, Bla, Bla
