I am an avid wine drinker/collector and would like to know if there is a web site where you can get advice as to how long certain wines should be cellared, how long for and when is the "best" time to drink them?

Most vineyard have their own 'tasting rooms' online that give their experts' opinions about each specific wine! You should be able to search the vineyard and find info on each wine! I create wine lists, and I can usually find info. Also- ask your wine retailer for info on it. They have direct contact with the reps who have direct contact with the makers!
enjoy!

the form of the glass is important for the fullest satisfaction interior the wine via fact it may help you sniff the wine ("nostril") and contain that aroma in the glass. to boot, a thinner glass has a classy that makes sipping greater attractive. some wine afficianados are very particular with reference to the size of the glass for particular wines and particular manufacturers make glasses of different sizes and shpaes for reds together with Pinot/Burgundy, Cabernet/Bordeaux, Zinfandel/Chianti, or whites together with Chardonnay/Voignier, Sauvignon Blanc/Riesling. The glasses contain or without stems. of direction, Champagne glasses have a different shape totally to make the most of the bubbles that upward push from the stem. Many web pages communicate the importance of the glass. the 1st I extremely have noted has photos of Riedel glasses, that are an industry extensive-unfold. The latter 2 web pages communicate sizes and types at length. Wine Spectator is a respected reviewer of wines and is composed of a brilliant number of interesting articles and archives. It comes out two times a month.

Basically when a wine is bottled it is at it's prime drink ability,
Reds as a rule will survive long term storage better than whites.
What we consider , aging process ends when bottled, aging is mainly affected by the materials of the container that the wine is aged in!
