I am an authorized representative for Dreams by Renee. They have some beautiful designer dresses AND they are also able to do custom designs! If you should decide to visit their site, please remember that the prices listed are suggested retail and, as a rep, I am able to discount those prices.
Congratulations and Good Luck!

You will find the exact dress you want but it will take a lot of time. Check the yellow pages for budget bridal shops. Also, perhaps you can take a picture of the dress, try it on and have someone else with you who can give you some ideas as to how that particular dress looks on you. Check the label on the dress and go on line to see if you can find the manufacturer. Check bridal rental shops also. Give yourself enough time and you may find another dress that fits your budget.

I personally didn't try on any dresses that were out of my budget so that helps in that I didn't find something that was way too expensive. I think the best bet would be to go back to the bridal shop and get the designer and style number, if they don't want to give you that information, then go elsewere. I have heard that if the dresses do not have tags in them, that the store is actually engaging in illegal practices. Just please don't rip the tag out like someone else said, that is just plain dumb!

I think you should go back and try it on again, the label will be inside the dress and you can memorise the make and style. I found my perfect dress too but like you it was way to expensive. I was gutted and searched and searched but you find that prices are quite average everywhere you go. I was just casually looking at Maggie Sotteros site when I found an identical if not nicer dress for a third of the price. Also, if you try more than one more dress on you could ask them to make a list of your 3 favourites so you can remember which one they were for when you come back to have a second look!! Be sneaky and good luck to you.

If you know who makes the dress got on their site .If you don't its a stinky but effective trick go to the shop try on the dress and rip off the tag with the designer name and style number . If there is no tag look on the inside of the dress take a note book and write down the information you need the designer and style number . Go on eBay and buy away

well if you know the designer you can look for it on just about any search engine. I found many dresses I liked when I was shopping for my dress last fall but couldn't afford them. I thought about making my own but didn't have the time. So if you can find a pattern and some one who can sew you might be able to make your own. I found mine on eBay for about 400 less than what it was in the bridal shop

a surprising thing i discovered, is that it is not always more expensive to have your dress custom made. i had an exact idea of what i wanted my dress to be, and called some dressmakers for quotes, they all came out way below the shop-bought price of similar dresses, and you can choose the exact fabric you want etc. it's worth looking into anyway. good luck oh and just try the dress on in the shop a few times, this would be normal anyway, and you can get a good idea this way when you explain to the dres maker. she might even be willing to come in with you when you do try it on to have a look herself(or himself) after all, he/she will want your business!

do like I did --- I saw a wedding dress I loved but couldn't afford - so I got a picture of it and found a look alike dress ---- the look alike was on the clearance rack of a local store for a $100.00 dollars!
You can also try renting bridal gowns or checking out consignment stores for a dress that is close to the one you like.....

When my friend got married, she went onto Ebay and got her dress, shoes, flowers, etc. everything all for like $600.00. But, u have to get an account with them to buy anything. Go onto Ebay and see what they have. Her dress was sooo pretty. Her colors were Royal Blue and Silver. It was all pretty reasonable. She went to all the bridal stores and nothing was to her liken.

You should be able to ask for the designer ans style number. Many brides do this. You want to keep track of what you are lookin at. That's what I did with my dress and my bridesmaid dresses. I found them online for about half the price.
