Absolutely. The world makes me happy. Hope for the future makes me happy. My family makes me happy. Knowing that people do good things without ulterior motive makes me happy. Good music makes me happy. Learning new things makes me happy. Waking up with my wife in my arms makes me happy.

Need I go on?

I know plenty of atheists who are really, reallly happy. In fact, my first girlfriend ever (in 6th grade, we just stayed friends all these years) is an atheist. She is an existentialist with a very optimistic view on everything. Sounds almost like a paradox, but she pulls it off very well and it all makes sense.

Me? I'm atheist too. But I'm normally depressed. I'm an existentialist who has a pessimistic view on mostly everything. It really comes down to a case by case scenario. Some atheists are quite happy, some are quite depressed. Just like theists. I know plenty of happy theists, but Martin Luther was quite depressed before he turned protestant.

But judging by the questions you've asked, your greatest joy seems to be bashing and insulting atheists. Not all are bad. I'm atheist but love religion. I accept that I may be wrong in not believing in a god, but I don't believe. I'm almost agnostic, just I have a decided opinion on it, rather then saying I can't make one.

Perhaps you should settle down and stop posting badly about atheists. Read Matthew 5-7. Its jesus giving the sermon on the mountain. it tells you to love your neighbor and pray for those who persecute you. It tells you to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Try applying that here.

I have many happinesses,
I don't think of myself as an Atheist 24-7 because it's a negative and derogatry title intended to diminish people who dont' share the Theists belief in a God or Gods, religious belief or none is not how I form my identity, I don't think it should be the main feature of anyones identity.
But Atheist fills the bill well enough when dealing with the Theism issue, what other time is it relevant to be an Atheist I ask you?

I'm not an athiest, but I suppose a "temporary" happiness could be had by earning an award, receiving praise on the job, eating a satisfying meal, purchasing a new car, etc. The same sort of things that would make other folks happy.

I'm sure they can have short term happiness that comes buying something or some other event. But they don't or cant experience the peace and happiness that comes from having the Holy Spirit.

Absolutely. Most look outside of themselves for happiness. When it's not found they blame their "higher power" for letting them down. One must look within themself. Only we know what truely makes us happy. We all have the power to attain whatever we wish for. It's a belief in "self".

We only feel sorry for christians, such a waste of life .
It would make us happy to see you become mature and throw away the crutch of religion.

Atheists are happy being humans, just exactly what they were born to be, instead of a slave to a diety in a book. Try it!
