SHe is 7 months old. Obviously it has to be a hygienic and reputable place. EVERYONE keeps insisting she has her ears pierced as if I am doing her some great dis-service by not piercing them! Sheesh! Anyway, rant over. Back to the question.

Pianist - get a grip - lots of babies have their ears pierced. Are those mothers all heartless? Babies have holes poked in them when they have their inoculations too.

They have quite a few Claire's accessories in central London, i know of some in the oxford street area since they're a large chain they should be pretty hygienic otherwise it would damage their reputation.
Jewelery stores are also good and pretty easy to find.

I think you should not be pressured into getting her ears pierced. If you don't get them done now then she can make her own choice when she is older and will probably be grateful for this. Personally I think it looks wrong on such young children. Why risk infection at such a young age, she won't be able to look after her ears at that age and when growing up there is always the risk of her ripping them out by accident.
However if you are going to cave in to the pressure I would recommend F Hinds the jewllers. I had mine done in one their stores in Bristol and I had brilliant service! I was scared and on my own and one of the assisstants came out to hold my hand and support me! They were hygienic and quick too.

Try Claires Accessories, theres acouple down Oxford street (at least there used to be- check with directory or on their website).
However, Most places prefer to wait until she has had ALL of her INJECTIONS- try taking your immunisation book along as proof of these being up to date.

That's for their own health and safety, not for decoration. Why put a child in unnecessary pain purely to please other people? Let her make her own choice about whether she wants her ears pierced when she's old enough to decide, don't just give in to peer pressure.

if you don't want them done then don't do it, some hairdressers do also clares accessories do it they are very good!!!
