What is the meaning of life? The question itself contains a word that is a misnomer. The word "life" should actually read "death" since this existence that we all like to call "life" is really "death." We all reside in the world of the dead, in "Hades" or "Hell," if you will. And of course, the dead know nothing, hence the reason we're continually asking "What is the meaning of life?" Since we're also inquiring of the dead, we get no sure replies.

Those receiving the gift of life and resurrected will no longer have to ask "What is the meaning of life?" Being alive, they also have knowledge and the answer to the question before it's even asked.

The first question is wrong. I think that the problem is not the answer, but the question itself. Man is always asking what is the meaning of life. That is why we conquer, went west, go to space, climb the highest mountains, in search of that answer. Maybe we should be asking what is the meaning of life to me.

As for the existence of Jesus. I believe that there was a man named Jesus. Now if he was the son of God, or as some religions say, God on Earth. I have yet to see any proof of that.

For the way that Jesus looks. Depends on where you go. If you go to Spanish Harlem, Jesus looks Puerto Rican. If you go to a another church he may look white. When I asked about this the church said that it was because we were made in his image. Me I think it is so people will feel more comfortable. I think that not many people in a rich white area would go to church if their statues of God where dark skin, even if it were true.

I do not know what church considers Jesus as "a white man." I'd stay away from that church if I knew which one it is. Anybody that knows basics about the New Testament knows that Mary and Joseph were Jews. Jesus was born of Jewish lineage, of the lineage of King David to be exact. Read the geneologies in the beginning of Matthew and you can see. So how could Jesus be born a white baby or a baby of any color except that color of the Palestinian Jew? I don't know a whole lot about it but I heard their skin color called "olive." I think they are a tad darker than "white." I don't know. Any Jews out there in cyberspace care to respond?

Any church that says Jesus was a white man does not know their Bible and more importantly, they certainly do not know the Author. So I'd find another church to go to. I want TRUTH and nothing less.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by "what is the meaning of life?" But I used to ask questions like, "why was I born?" "why am I here?" "what is my purpose?" and then I answered God's call on my life and my questions were all answered.

Does Jesus exist? Absolutely!
Ask Him to show you if He is real. Nobody else's answer will ever be as convincing as His own answer.

If you really want to know, ask Him. His response will depend on your attitude. If you really want to know and are humble about it, He will answer you. If you have any kind of a negative attitude, He is most likely not going to respond in a way that you could recognize but will let you continue in the path of the negative attitude. His response ALWAYS depends on the attitude of the seeker. He was like that in the Bible and He is still the same. His character remains unchanged. He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. He opened not His mouth to those that accused Him or challenged Him. He knew that they would not believe Him so why bother? He had a purpose (to die for our sins and then rise, victorious over death) and they were bringing Him to His purpose.

If you really want to know if Jesus exists, ask Him. Will you do that right now?

Being redeemed by Jesus and accepting His sacrifice and follow Him to get out of this world alive is the purpose and meaning of life I believe. The attainment of eternal life which Jesus promises us - John 3:16-17. Jesus is real the evidence is clear throughout history and our present lives if we let him show us. Jesus was not a white man as many suggest or even a black man. He was a Jew, presently the Jewish nation that existed in that era were similar to the Arabs in looks that is. So I believe He was a jewish Arab. However, he still died to save us all because he loves us.

1. Jesus was not white. He is a Jew and I do believe Jews have a nice tan, etc. He was portrayed as white in several paintings, etc during the middle ages due to artist stylings. He also probably did not have long hair either, since it was the style of the time to have short hair.

2. Life is about serving and getting better with God. To do the purpose He set out for you here on Earth.

3. Jesus exists, now and in the past. There is archaelogical evidence, many non-biblical historical writings, etc...

What is the meaning of life? Deu 6:4,5 (KJV only). Does Jesus exist? OH, YES HE DOES!!!!!!! Micheal, as the only begotten Son of God (Ps 2:7) volunteered to come down here and become the anointed victim for the human race, that WHOEVER will except that sacrifice, and who will obey the voice ( word) of God, WILL have eternal life. Why is Jesus considered white by the church? Bigotry, racists, call it what ever you want, he is the same color as any other full blooded Hebrew.

Meaning of Life? That is up to you. The Christians have a definition, but it is after all based on free will, so you do not have to subscribe to it. I happen to believe in it.
Does Jesus exist? Yes he did, for fact, for sure in historical terms. exist. Certainly his impact on the world does. I also believe that he is the Messiah, so he does still.
Jesus was considered a white man by many painters> I am white, and I seriously doubt that he looked anything like me. His features most likely resembled those that are common to all races, as is prevalent in the area that he was born in.

I will take the last question first. Jesus is not considered a white man. As an Israeli, his would be a more olive coloured than white.
Yes, Jesus exists
The meaning of life is something that is more involved, so I will leave some web sites for you to look at.

You and I were created to live in a relationship with God. Until we find that relationship there will always be something missing in our lives. As a result, we are often aware of a gap. One rock singer described it by saying 'I've got an emptiness deep inside'.

People try to fill this emptiness in various ways. Some try to close the gap with money, drugs, alcohol or sexual promiscuity. These things can provide instant gratification but they leave you feeling hollow afterwards. Others try music, sport or seek success, but these do not satisfy the hunger deep inside.

Until you are living in a relationship with God we will never find the true meaning and purpose of life. Other things may provide passing satisfaction but it does not last. Only in a relationship with our Creator do we find the true meaning and purpose of our lives. If you would like to know more please join http://yahoo.groups.com/group/seeking_reality

I didn't realize so many people were hoodwinked by the European artistic reinvention of Jesus. He was born to a middle-eastern girl and would certainly have looked the part. The earliest known artistic depiction of Jesus at least used to be a bust dating from the 100's that portrayed him with middle-eastern features and short, coarse hair.
