As an addition to my other question...can u file for bankruptcy if you are unemployed?

Thank you all for your answer...even your opinion. Although my mother always told me to not offer my "opinion" unless it is asked of me. Please reread my question and appropriate answers only.

Yes, You can file for bankruptcy anytime, but under the new laws you will have to undergo 6 months of credit counseling at your cost to complete the bankruptcy. Also be aware that bankruptcy will virtually destroy your credit for 10 years.

Instead of thinking about how to screw the people that you Owe money, why don't you try something different and try to figure out how to pay the people you owe money!
Thank goodness it is not near as easy to file for bankruptcy now as it once was!
