Yes, you can. Place the hot dogs in the slow cooker, using no water. Cook on high for 1 to 2 hours. They will cook in their own juices, will brown wherever they touch the sides of slow cooker. This will work for Polish sausage, too.

Indeed you can keep hot dogs warm in a slow cooker if wanting them kept warm over a long period of time. Hot dogs are pretty much pre-cooked so it is not a problem.

slow cooker? I'd just heat up some water and let it boil on the stove..I believe the heat from boiling water would warm up a hot dog.
