i would have to agree with the above on this one...
he is also in school pursuing a degree related to the medical sciences.. his back to back losses in Pride FC have caused him to take a break to minor leagues and re-work his skills..
he is a very very good fighter and i believe he still is... remember he was able to choke matt hughes and when matt hughes fell from that choke it was when he was knocked out.. his talent is still above average in the industry...

Currently, Carlos Newton is one of the new coaches in the International Fight League, helming the Dragons. His team is first scheduled to compete in the next 8-team tournament in the IFL, which is slated to begin in September 2006.
