YES, AT CERTAIN point is normal I think US mom's don't like for our kids to be hurt in any way, not even when we had to spank them or punished them for something they did. But is part of our job as a MOM we need to learn to control our feelings if not kids will end up controlling US & is not like this... Just take care of your kids you will do fine they need to learn too that the world is not perfect & that's your job too they need to know there are good & bad things & they can get hurt in different ways... So just relax protect your children but do not over protect them along they way they will have ups & downs but is part of life but with ypur love & careness it will be easier for them... I used to be the same but I learn that it has to be like this.I love my kids w/all my heart & ofcourse I don't want for them to be hurt in any way but I can not have them in a crystal box to protect them... So I just love them, protect them but not over protect them & care for them.....Good luck & congratulations on your new baby!!! :)

Oh! no, you aren't a bad mom. Kids get hurt. As long as you are doing everything you can to keep him safe, and you've childproofed the house...you have to just accept that there is nothing else you can do about an accident except check that he is okay and comfort him when he cries.

All moms feel awful when their children get hurt, and it doesn't stop as they get older. But please don't make the mistake of over protecting your child to ease your own guilt. Bumps and bruises, stitches and broken bones are all part of life. It would be far worse if your son was not allowed to experience life, to grow and learn and play, because you are fearful of him getting hurt. Also, try not to make too big a deal out of little hurts. Teach him to pick himself up and keep going.

Don't you take this parenting thing to far girl. Take good care of your child that's OK but don't make Sissy's out of them He/she has to face the world some day how long can you keep protecting your children like that not for your entire life can you? All parents want the best for their children but there has to be a limit

Very normal...it just breaks your heart and you feel terrible to hear the cries of pain that you think is some how your fault but my son like me is prone to mishap and I have learned to cringe and move on.

accidents do happen - i have a 5 year old and a 10 month old. my 10 month old is getting hurt nearly everyday. most of the accidents cant be prevented - so dont worry. soon as baby gets hurt , doctor him

yes that is normal......you just feel like you could have done something to have prevented it, but you couldn't everything happens for a reason and you will learn from it.
