I would love to get a great nude shot of myself, one that is art, not smut. How would I do this? What is the best pose for covering up a not so trim tummy and making a not so skinny body look trimmer. Are there any websites that can assit me? Thanks -

It’s a good thing I have a sense of humor or I might be offended by, "It sounds like your body does need to be cover up". I guess I must be more comfortable in my skin than I thought because I laughed instead of cried.

BTW - I have some schooling in photography and have been shooting since I was a baby. I am not a professional, I just enjoy photography and want to do something of myself and looking for suggestions and such on how to achieve it. I don't want another person to take the pic because I want to be the photographer.

I have seen some superb self portraits that include nude or partial nude photos.

If you are worried about some rolls, I'd strongly advise against the laying on the side or stomache while facing the camera.

A nice shot that would look great would be to lay some black cloth over the side of a chair so it comes down and spills out onto the floor. Then remove your clothes and set the camera on a timer. Turn off all the lights and lay with just your back to the camera. Place 2 - 3 flashlights on the side between you and the backdrop so they face the camera. Then, when the camera goes off, you'll have created a nice sillhouetted image of yourself with just enough light that people will be able to tell is a nude.

Another way is to do close up of your curves. Nothing is more sensual than the curves of a woman. Photograph sides, busts, etc without being too revealing and then make them B&W. Images like that can turn out quite nice.

Your body sounds like it does need to be hidden or made to look trimmer. Remember, bone-thin may be what models look like, but go to a bookstore and leaf through the artistic photography books -- many of the artistic models are not, and yet they're stunning in their photographs.
As to how to take the pictures, I'd suggest starting with a professional. It's rare that an amateur or beginner will be able to get professional-quality results unless they are truly gifted. A professional photographer should also be able to make you feel comfortable and put you at ease. Don't hesitate to visit and interview a few and check their portfolios. If the cost is a factor, getting a book on human model photography technique and involving a trusted friend is another option. In this case, a digital camera and a guide to digital image editing and tweaking may be useful, so that even with a basic digital shooter camera you could still make some pretty pictures.

Set lightings in your computer room as has been in studio, run computer camara on, go to various positions and angles, shoot it and check up, some of them will be definitely like professional and you can have your own assessment of your structural sexyness. Is is ok...
