Seriously though if someone comes at you and you think you're going to die, and you end up killing him before he kills you, then it's self-defense and I suppose its okay then... I don't think just killing anyone, or killing in a war is right, there is no such thing as a "just-war." Although I do think the death penalty is suitable for serial - killers. It really is a complex question with complex answers because no 2 people in the world will share the same view

Yes it is OK to kill. Every other animal does it in some form or another, humans are just smart animals, mammals.
For someone who says no it not OK to kill, What if a man came into your house an butchered your whole family, spouse, son, daughter and newborn child even your dog and cat. would you kill that person if you had the chance. If you answered no then tell me where you live because your a hippie peace loving moron. You would rather that person be in prison for the rest of his life eating, watching TV, breathing, talking, laughing, walking, having visitors, while your whole family rots in there graves.

Vedic Scriptures suggest 6 circumstances where an aggressor can be Killed ...
(1) a poison giver,
(2) one who sets fire to the house,
(3) one who attacks with deadly weapons,
(4) one who plunders riches,
(5) one who occupies another’s land, and
(6) one who kidnaps a wife.
Killing of such aggressors does not incur Sin. Still a Saintly man may think if its really justified to take life. There are different ways of Killing..Insulting a Learned respected man is like killing him...
But for Police or Person In-charge of Law, they should not think twice in executing such Duty.

No.How can you ? Creation and destruction is the duty of God only.Even terminating the pregnancy is also a crime.Killing the animals also nothing but murder only .
When one can not create the life in any way , how do he have the right to kill anybody?

Many believe that you may take a human life when defending others who are in grave danger, where their life is threatened, and/or if your life is threatened. The final answer rests with you and your personal beliefs. Murder and manslaughter are never justified.
P.S. The laws of society call self defense and defense of others justifiable homicide.
