I am going to join the military. Just not sure which branch yet. I want to travel a lot and have opportunities to continue my college education while serving. I already have a bachelors degree in business and am 23 years old. Which branch offers the best benefits? Which branch should I join? I want to go into either finance, aviation or military intelligence.

It seems that it's still split. Half are saying air force and half the army. Marines and navy; not for me. Does anybody know about the length of committment with each? I also want to choose an overseas duty station for my first one. BTW, which branch pays more?

GO TO NAVY!

Air Force - best. Navy - next. Only join the army or marines if you want higher rank more quickly! With a degree, your rank will already be moving up, so do the best, Air Force. My step-dad did 20 years, 16 at Offut in Nebraska, and 4 at Whiteman in Missouri, however, he did many TDYs, but chose not to travel more. My ex was a Marine for 5 years, and deployed troops to Dessert Storm, and never had to participate in the fighting. A lot depends on how you guide your carreer. There will be choices presented to you, and you will choose the ones that fit your lifestyle.

Air Force and go in as an officer. The Air Force has the best quality of life and benefits. You can even work on your masters. You could easily become a finance or intelligence officer.
Plus the Air Force doesn't send you to war for long periods of time.

Remember all branches have their pit falls, and there's going to be stupid stuff you'll have to do regardless of service branch.

I say that Airforce Intellegence is an exciting way to go...I'm sure that u could also find an exciting civilian job if u don't re-up after ur enlistment is up (maybe even w/ the CIA or NSA)...who knows, maybe u will even live out my dream of becoming an Airforce pilot, too. It's a little too late for me to do so myself...Of course though, u might want to put ur degree to good use by going into finance. It depends on u. If u really enjoy business and office type work, then i would say that u should stick w/ that. But if ur done w/ that type of thing or find that it just doesn't do it for u anymore, then i would try out intel. I wish I had when I enlisted. You can change ur MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) mid-training if you start to think that it isn't the thing for you...Good luck

Air Force for Aviation/Military Intelligence

LETS SEE, FINANCE. HMM, ALL THE BRANCHES HAVE FINANCE. AVIATION. WELL IT IS CALLED THE AIR FORCE, BUT THE NAVY IS A GOOD FLYING ORGINAZTION TOO, IF YOU LIKE GOING TO SEA ON A BIG SHIP. NO ACCESS TO COLLEGES OUT TO SEA. MILITARY INTELLIGENCE, THIS IS AN OXYMORON, NO SUCH THING.
MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WAS WITH THE AIR FORCE, AND MY REASONING FOR GOING WITH THE AIR FORCE WAS THE GOING OUT TO SEA STUFF. IN THE AIR FORCE, YOU HAVE A 9 TO 5 JOB AND TEHEN YOU ARE DONE. THEN GO DO WHAT YOU WANT OR NEED TO DO. NO HAVING TO BE ON A BIG OLE SHIP AT SEA FOR MONTHS AT A TIME.

You would probably be better off with the Air Force. Between deployments and field exercises it is really difficult to physically take classes. Lack of access to computers and the internet while in the field also hinders online courses. The most reliable way to continue your college education is through correspondence courses.

The Air Force also has deployments of course, but my experience of Air Force exercises (from an Army point of view) is that you are still on the base with normal access to technology.

Good luck.

i'd propose the Air pressure over the military KT. I say that because I actually have served and deployed with both. The Air pressure has a tendency to address its human beings slightly extra efficient and in view that their project isn't so heavily wrestle suitable you do not have as a lot chance of being deployed to a wrestle section or in contact without delay with wrestle operations. residing situations are incredibly austere in those environments also so in case you don't love airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dirt below your fingernails the military isn't a sensible determination. the military's attitude to coping with its human beings is way harder mentally and bodily because of this besides and they have a tendency now to not favor to carry human beings in as great of numbers. So if you're pondering a lengthy time period occupation and eventual retirement i'd also go with the Air pressure over the military. even as it feels like i'm anti military right here believe me, i'm no longer as some do settle on to serve in that service over others. some actually have lengthy and efficient careers notwithstanding the military is plenty harsher with and in the course of its human beings and so is serving in it because they must be that way distinct the time by using their project. In some options it takes a particular individual to address being contained in the military or the Marine Corps and not in any respect each individual is reduce out for it.

Better stay civilian for now or even work for Mc Donalds if you have to. I am sure you are either Mexican, Portorecan ...... other wise a real American will not join the military at it`s current situation and die for nothing. You batter find your root, go back and harvest sugar cane so you don`t end up dead like most of the Latino people who died in Afghanistan & Iraq fighting for America even with our being accepted as an asylum seeker. Hope is a loaf of bread that is high up above and you might break your legs or your spine trying to reach it. What is funny is it is not reachable. Drink some Cool Aid and stay cool Amigo.

Hmm....sounds like you would want to join the Air Force. My brother is in the Navy and he is going to go into intelligence, so that might be an option as well.
