Chocolate. Dogs can die if they eat a lot of chocolate. I don't know why, but it's true. Other than that, most foods are okay. Don't let them eat chicken bones, of course, because the bones can break into small pieces and choke them. But the best thing to feed dogs? Dog food. It's nutritionally complete and will keep them happy and healthy so they can be your companions for many years to come.

Chocolate, grapes, raisins, and tomatoes are bad if not down right deadly to most dogs.
My dog cant tolerate certain breads either.
You can give them peanut butter as a treat though.
I place some inside a Kong toy and he loves it.
And every now and then its ok to give them scraps like meat.
I asked my vet and they said its ok.
Rice wont hurt them either, in fact that's used in dog foods.
If you really want a detailed list just ask a vet, they will be more than happy to give that information to you.

chocolate is one of the worst things you can give to a dog, and the darker the chocolate the worse, also the small sharp bone in chicken legs is bad for them as well because it can get clogged up in their throat and can kill them. other than that i cant really think of what could actually kill a dog if they eat it

Keep them away from sugar, especially chocolate. A number of household plants can be poisonous to pets. You should also resist the temptation to give them alcohol, narcotics or "people food".
Basically, if it doesn't come in a container or a recipe that says it's dog food don't give it to them.

If you want to take good care of your dog, the best way to answer this one is to give your dog only natural, healthy dog food and treats. Just make it a rule not to give your dog any human food (unless your vet tells you otherwise) and your dog will reward you with a long and healthy life.
