It is probably running and you need to stop it first. Go to your task manager and find out all running processes and what they do by typing each one is a search engine. Then end the process or processes that are Mcaffee and do the uninstall.

answers 6 and 8 are on the right track. However you may have to re-install it first (if you have it partially uninstalled) so that you do not end up with useless files or a faulty registry.

GO TO YOUR CONTROL PANEL, CLICK ON ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS, THEN CLICK ON MCAFEE AND CLICK REMOVE. IT WILL REMOVE THE WHOLE PROGRAM FOR YOU, YOU CAN DELETE YOUR SHORTCUTS WITHOUT IT AFFECTING THINGS, IT MAY LEAVE SOME COMPONENTS SO OTHER PROGRAMS CAN RUN WITH IT.. SIMPLE AS THAT.. THEN DO A SEARCH AND MAKE SURE ALL IS GONE.. IF NOT, YOU CAN MANUALLY DELETE THEM ONLY AFTER YOU REMOVE OR UNINSTALL THE MCAFEE.. GOOD LUCK
