Ive seen them in stores and thinking of buying one. Looks like it would be fun for a party especially with fresh fruit. Doesn anyone have one and how well does it work?

I first tried one out 6 months ago - at a dinner party. I was a great success. Really fun.

As everyone else has said, you are not just limited to chocolate - you can put sauces in the fountain, pretty much anything you want. If you go for chocolate, I recommend Belgian - it tastes so much better. Some people suggest putting a little oil in the chocolate to thin it out a bit - but not tried this myself.

If you are thinking of buying one then check out this information only website http://www.fountainchocolatefondue.com which has a really good buyers guide, FAQs and a review.

No but I've seen them on tv and I would love to have one.

Although I'm with the person that said something about people sticking their fingers or tongues in it. That's unsanitary.
Maybe you could put up a sign that says "Do Not Stick body parts or non food items in the fountain."

we had one for my niece's HS graduation party. Most important this is to make sure it is put together securely and that it is level. Also watch the amount of chocolate, you don't want it to get too low. We used milk chocolate and it was fantastic. I think dark chocolate would be even better. Awfully messy to clean up after wards..... but worth it! Have fun!

Yes, it's fun but you need alot of chocolate to keep it going. It's a great way to do dessert for a dinner party. We love ours.

I love chocolate but I've seen too many people stick their fingers in them and I'am a germ FREAK! So I won't try them.

I was at a dinner party where there was one. It was a lot of fun and very tasty. I am glad I didn't have to clean up tho.

I was at two parties this weekend, both had one. They work quite well. They were really fun with marshmellows, pretzel rods, strawberries, and potato chips

They do work well, but yes. Try something other than chocolate. That is just sooo rich.

I think they are cool, but they take a while for ppl to do, so you may want to have it out of the way, somewhere where the rest of your guests won't have to wait for the remainder of their food.
