She had her third litter just 2 1/2 weeks ago and began pulling out her fur right before they were born now she is pulling it out in clusters. I have checked where she is tearing it out of and see no red spots or bugs, what is causing her to do this ...??? HELP !

I was planning on getting her spayed, but when I took her to my vet we found out she was already p.g.I have homes for the 3 kittens she had, and I am getting her spayed as soon as she weans them. Thanks to those who have voiced it to me, we have 3 indoor gorgeous cat who are nuetured and spayed already she (our outside cat ) was a gorgeous tabby that came to us about 2 yrs ago and we kept her outside but she knows shes ours.

As for bringing her inside we have tried that too...but she wont use the litter box she prefers my hubbys tub for some reason. So back outside she went. For those who wonder why we have so many cats...Well I almost lost my Hubby 1 yr ago, from a disease called " Hanta-virus" which comes from mice droppings and urine, and it scared me so bad that I will NEVER be without cats again,for my familys sake.

Before the babies are born, cats may pull fur to make a nest for them.

Maybe she's using the fur to make a nest for her kittens or maybe she has fleas. Ask a vet. But I wouldn't bring her inside - so called "indoor" cats usually become neurotic; cats need to live outside, except maybe to sleep.

Most importantly, do the responsible thing and get your cat spayed, the world is over populated with un-wanted litters! Then, bring her in, and she will live a happier healthier life..... But, the spaying is first priority, please!!!
As for pulling out her hair, call your vets, and ask them this question.....

cats are very susptable to emotional problems it may be like post partum in humans rub her down with pinesol if petting and loving dont help

It might be a skin disease, some type of pathogen like scabies.
