I know He had to go to jail in past. I assumed He hadn't really confessed He was a Sinner needing a Savior, confessing Jesus Christ His Lord (life commitment). He now has a new show. Did He get saved and become a born again Christian? Or is He still a hypocrite? If He did get saved, do you know when & how this transformation took place?

I had prayed about His Salvation & God said to me that He had not yet confessed He was a Sinner needing a Savior & confessed Jesus Christ Lord (commitment), and believed in heart Jesus is the Lamb of God & rose from the dead.

I would like to know if anyone heard His personal testimony. A person has to get on the salvation foundation to be born again. He believes in second chances (Seattle Times). Just being sorry for past mistakes doesn't save any one. By grace we are saved, through faith. One can't have two Gods, money & God. It is one or the other.

I don't follow the goings on of Mr Bakker, but I can pass this much along to you. If he is promoting himself and hounding after money on his new show, then he hasn't been born again. He's only found a new sheep skin to put on as he seeks to fleece the flock.

2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

I believe he is a Christian - just keep in mind, no one is perfect, and fame and money can take the strongest "Christian" down - he has always been a christain and made a confession of faith believing in Jesus Christ and admitting he was a sinner - it isn't up to us to know when and/or how this took place, only God knows the truth and that is the only one it really matters to anyway

He was born again the whole time he took a nose dive into sin. He got off track and paid a very large price for the things he did wrong.

If you get your eyes off God, your going to sink in whatever sin you're focusing on. You can be as born again as a new babe and still fall flat on your face. Remember, where your treasure is, is where your heart will be.

If Jim Baker has asked the Lord for forgiveness and has turned from his sin, then he is forgiven. It is then our job as Christians to have the grace to let him walk in that forgiveness and be healed and restored.

Ask his broker. He went to prison for fraud, not because of his religion. He was in the religion business for the money, not the heavenly rewards. He probably hasn't changed. A hypocrite is still a hypocrite no matter how many times he says he got saved.Just ask Tammy Fae, she was right there with him, but dumped him when he went tto the pen. And his good buddy, Jimmy was in the same boat with him, but he couldn't keep his thing in his pants, long enough to get back on top of the religion biz.

Typically someone like this, you don't want to say he's not born again. But you would want to be careful about supporting his ministry. I think someone in a leadership position who was found in sin needs to be proven once again. That means each person would have to judge him for themselves as to how they accept his christian leadership.

He is still a hypocrite. He is only in the religion business for money. He needs to be thrown back into jail along with his ex wife and some other so-called pastors.

I don't know if he's truly saved now or not, and it's not place to judge that. But I will say that from what I've seen, he doesn't ACT like a born-again Christian should.

I heard he is back into ministry but on a much smaller scale, not a TV ministry but a small congregation. So he did repent and returned to God.
