FIRST THING TO DO IS ASK HIM WHAT KIND OF HELP YOU CAN GIVE HIM, MAYBE HE HASNT ACCEPTED THE PROBLEM YET. GIVE HIM TIME AND THEN DO WHAT EVER YOU THINK HE NEEDS. YOU DIDNT SAY IF HE HAS A FAMILY OR NOT. IF NOT YOU CAN HELP WITH HOUSEWORK,SHOPPING,COOKING,LAUNDRY OR JUST LISTEN TO HIM WISH HIM GOOD LUCK FROM KAREN IN MELROSE PARK IL. AND TELL HIM I WILL PRAY FOR HIM//////

I took care of an aids patient when he was in the worst stage of the illness. HIV was feared by everyone at that time. Your friend lives in a better time now...continue to be a true friend- ...don't change your behavior,.... just be the way you were before he/she was diagnosed.

I my best friend recently became hiv positive. All you can do is be there for him . Dont treat any differen than you already do. Depending on the meds they give him theyll be real sick for awhile. and possible depression. Always let him know you care

The very best thing you can do is not treat him any different.. continue being the friend you were and he will come to you in moments of need. Also, educate yourself on the virus so when he does come to you you can have some educated words of encouragement.

Just let him know you are there for him, and that nowadays, with new advances in medicine, people with HIV are living longer, healthier lives. Good luck!
