I have a picnic basket and I don't want the eggs getting nasty and messed up while transporting to the picnic site.

Or bring a seperate small cooler with ice and use a flat
container to set it in the cooler on ice.

OK, at some point in creating these deviled eggs, you have a bunch of empty white hollows and a bowl of spicy yellow filling. Don't fill the hollows, just arrange them on a platter and cover it with plastic wrap. Keep the filling separate. Then, when you get where you are going, use a pastry bag -- you know, like for decorating cakes with icing -- or a cookie press to squirt filling into each hollow. If you don't have a pastry bag or cookie press, you can make a cone of parchment paper and tape it shut; don't try this with wax paper. Or you can use a big plastic zipper storage bag, inside another (for extra strength) with a corner cut off. Then sprinkle with paprika or parsley or whatever. Beautiful every time.

I just bought this pampered chef serving tray that has a part you freeze to keep food cold and it also has cut outs for deviled eggs that allo you to arrange them attractively and not worry that they are going to go bad at a picnic or other outdoor event.

Presuming you meant devilled eggs !!
I cut me eggs on the tall side rather than sideways then put them back in the carton they came from which has bee lined with saran. do not cover except with the egg carton lid.Take along a platter & crisp lettuce leaves to line your platter then add eggs only when you get to site

Use egg cartons for transport. Don't have to worry about cellophane sticking to the filling.

It's true that Tupperware has great products for this purpose, but they're generally expensive and not available on short notice.

You have to keep them cold so you might try an insulated casserole bag. You can get the little inserts to freeze and put inside.

Place saran wrap over them and put them in a plastic storage container. If you are lucky you won't even have to wash the container later.
