"No Brain er" take a yoga class. 8 weeks 45-80 dollars, you will learn all the basic. It's always best to have a teacher or mentor in a new area of your life. You need to work on flexibility 20 Min's a day also will slow your mind down and help with focus. Class is once a week 2 hr. there are several styles so go look at classes and teachers. You local Y, fitness centers, churches, schools, and individuals teach and have classes. Look in the phone book first. You need hamstring work and lower back work, a marshal arts class sometimes will also teach flexibility like you want.

Okay this gets pretty involved. You must warm up thoroughly before stretching.I mean sweat. The stretching should be done gradually and may hurt a little.I'm going to assume that you may be interested in matial arts.Buy a heavy bad and practice each kick that you intend to use at the highest height that you are capable of.If to don't have a bag just kick into the air.Be careful cause your plant foot may come right out from under you and you'll fall.I used to have a book called Dynamic Kicking and Strtching by Bill Wallace. This is an excellent source for what you seek.
