Do yourealize you give to the poor when you tip, so raise it up. They only make 2.15 per hour and have to claim 10 percent on taxes.
Some of them are single moms with kids who need to eat, some are poor college students struggling and some poor helping their family out.

When I was a bit younger, I had a boyfriend who tipped very well. I ended up taking after him on it. I usually tip 15% for your regular service. I have tipped over 50% if I see someone doing extremely well, if they're pregnant, or someone else is being a bugger to them. Take Care :)

They say that 15% is standard, but I think that is horrible! I will always tip at least 20%. I used to work in the restaraunt/bar industry; and most of the time if the slow service, or the food is messed up it is not the server's/bartenders fault! I will always tip AT LEAST $2 at lunch or breakfast per person; servers work just as hard, if not harder at lunch. Tipping at a bar, should be at least $1 per drink, and if it is busy, it is best to be a better tipper! People remember when they are treated well, and they will give better service!

For good service I give 20 percent or more. I have been known not to tip at all for crappy service..it's a hard job I agree and the waitstaff do not make enough money and most people are horrible tippers..I also have given much larger tips..and gave the rest of the money off a gift certificate like about 39 dollars..

The standard tip is 15 to 20 percent. I remember an old friend of my moms who used to be a waitress that once told me tip the most in the morning. The breakfast rush is the busiest of the day.

Im a poker dealer, we work for tips too but get taxed 33%! But I was a server forever.. 20% is appreciated but 15% is acceptable.. If I go to lunch though i usually leave $5 because its not the servers fault the bill was $10 when they do the same work as night time servers.. but yea Im not shy to leave a bad tip for bad service, and be sure to leave a note that they just pissed off another tipped employee

When dining, standard is 15% - I usually tip 20%.

Cab drivers, I usually give $1 in addition to the change, unless the change is close to $1.

Bartenders - $1 per drink, unless it's busy - then I'll tip extremely generously, in view, in the hopes that he'll prioritize my drinks everytime I have to fight my way up to the bar. (works a good chunk of the time.)
