Curry is an English word. It doesn't really mean anything in Indian. (It's a mispronouciation of the word "kari", a kind of leaf ground up as a spice in some powders used to prepare some Southern Indian dishes)

The other answers are correct about masala.

Curry refers to an actual dish or sauce. Masala is a mix of spices.

it's not masal. it's masala.

Curry is some kind of gravy made with masala....

e.g: chicken curry is a gravy made of chicken and masala.

Masala: a powder having necessary spices.

Masala is the spices....
Curry is the gravy made from spices, tomatoes, onions etc..
