different things work for different people, but you need to get it under control and keep it under control using diet, exercise, and medications if needed. exercise is extremely important as is eating a healthy diet that includes carbs. carbs are not bad for you. our ancestors ate carbs, and they were healthy. your body needs foods from all four food groups in prescribed quantities; you should eat a rainbow of high fiber, nutrient dense fruits, veggies, berries and whole wheat/whole grain high fiber cereals, breads, tortillas, crackers and popcorn and soy products, low/nonfat dairy products and lean meats and beans. fiber helps to keep your blood sugar even. you need to drink water and green tea. a good sweetener that is natural is Stevia, aka sweet leaf, found in health food stores. It is a natural sweetener that has natural fiber and enhances the flavor of food. if you want honey, use Royal Jelly which has nutrients in it. it still had natural sugars, but it is loaded with vitamins, etc. talk with a nutritionist, but you should be eating 3 moderate meals a day along with 3 light snacks a day. good luck

I am assuming you are asking this because you are having high blood sugar readings.
In Canada, we measure our blood sugar by mmol/l - and our glucometers measure anything below 7.0 as a healthy fasting level. After you eat - regardless of what you eat - your blood sugar is going to rise. A healthy level after a meal is up to 11. I've had blood sugars after meals as being in the 6.5 - 7.5 range because I also exercise and restrict the foods that I eat. If I have fruit of any kind with my meal, my sugars can go as high as 9.0, which is still normal.
But then again, I take medication that helps control the metabolism of glucose and follow an anti-diabetes lifestyle.
For every diabetic, the measures to apply vary. If medication, diet and exercise are not appearing to be effective for you - such as an A1C reading being over 7.0 or regularly high self-administered tests, then you may need to discuss the possibility of using insulin.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If an immediate decrease in blood sugar is needed then you need insulin, but eating more protein and non starchy vegetables helps to keep blood sugar lower. sugars and carbs elevated the blood sugar .
