Or shall I say closer to your concept of God, closer to nature, more i "touch", better karma.....:)
It seems on days i do not eat meat the sky seems bluer and the grass greener...does anyone experience this?
I had a dream last nite and want to know what you think, please. I was driving down the road and on one side of the road were happy horses running wild, and cows grazing the way they are meant to be--absolutly beautiful, peaceful and free--wonderful feeling
the other side, slaughter and men having wild horses fightiing each other...it felt so bad inside the cows looked so sad.
I feel like this dream was telling me i made the right decision..what do you think? very colorful and vivid
Thanks for reading my long post; i didnt intend it to be this long !!
Thanks
Natalia

I don't think it's wrong to eat meat, I just personally don't like the taste or texture of it, it makes me sick. A lot of animals were put on this planet for our consumption, there's nothing else cows or chickens contribute. So my answer is no, I do not feel closer to God because of not eating meat. And if YOU think that's what your dream is telling you, more power to you. Your dreams are whatever you make them.

There is nothing wrong wuth being a vegetarian. I see the point why people do it. The thing that I do not like is the non-religious vegetarians. There point makes no sense and it seems like they do it just for attention. You know the "Spotlight people". Look at me! Look at me! I don't eat meat and god doesn't exist. Then what is the entire point of you not eating meat. If somebody does it for religious purposes I have no problem with that.
I gave up meat once for 40 days. I thought it was pretty tough but it worked out well for me. If somebody chooses not to eat meat I will support that. I have made special arangments when I have BBQ's in case somebody shows up that is vegetarian.
I personally cannot do it but I do limit my animals. I only eat beef, chicken, pig, and fish. I know it's not perfect but its a shot. I like too many deli meats and could never become a vegetarian. Hey if you want to do it though more power to you.
Good luck on sticking to your dream....

Being a vegetarian for me does not make me feel closer to God only because I do mot have that kind of relationship to God. But I'm sure a lot of vegetarians feel closer to him knowing they have made a good decision.
I think that you know you have made the right decision, and that the dream portrays that. Hopefully you are satisfied with being a vegetarian and if there is anyone trying to discourage you, this dream can mean that you have made the right decision for yourself.

I became a vegetarian instantly about 14 years ago. I never missed meat in any way whatsoever. about a year after that I think my whole outlook on life in general changed. If you are asking if vegetarians are making God more pleased with them because of their choice I still believe that God looks at a persons heart. I do believe that a diet free of dead animals will change your mind, spirit, or what ever you want to call it. Don't believe that this woorks for al people because Hitler was a vegetarian too.

Animals WERE meant to be eaten. So I dont think it creates a closer relationship with God. Dreams mean nothing and meat tastes good, so I dont understand the vegetarianism.

Without the killing of certain animals, they would run rampid over the Earth. Animal control is a plus in this world. The skies are bluer when I eat meat, for I know that animal has not died without a cause. It's cause was to help save this good Earth, and help satisfy my hunger.

I dont see how what u eat cam make u feel closer to god. Some animals were meant to be slaughtered and eaten. Otherwise then u shouldnt even eat eggs . Where would we get food from then? Plants? Are u sure its enough nourishment. Even Jesus ate fish. So how can u say its wrong?

Yes. Vegetarian diet makes you "feel" closer to God. But in reality, it's really just a zinc deficiency. Zinc deficiency gives you that 'new-agey' spaced out feeling that many yogis, gurus, and vegetarians confuse with true spirituality.
