Since we are in the United States. We had our own "Canada" party with decorations, cake, Canadian music on the CD player. And just spent time together as a family.

I made my way downtown T.O. with my family (mum, dad, sister & hubby & 9mnth old nephew) and a friend of mine tagged along.

We got onto the Center Island Ferry and made it over to the island. I was expecting it to be packed but it was awesome! Just enough people to make it fun, but not frustrating. As soon as we landed on the Toronto Island we ordered 2 Pizza Pizza pizzas and polished them off. Bottles of water cost 3bucks..but it was rather warm not to keep hydrated. It was so awesome. We finally made it to the far shore of the island and walked out to the end of the pier where, when you turn around you can see the CN Tower looking over the entire island. I got some awesome pics. Then we hiked to the west most end of the island taking pics of the Gibralter Light House on the way and witnessing a Fantasy themed wedding where the groom and bride were a prince and princess and their wedding party were all Wizards, Witches, Gargoyles, Gnomes etc etc. Strange, but entertaining. Then we took the Ferry back. The entire trip was about 7 hours. Before leaving dwntwn, we headed to
Bloor Street and had an awesome sushi dinner....there were fireworks all over the city on our drive back to Mississauga. Nothing spectacular, but still nice to see.

=) Best country in the world...nothing like it.

I watched the fireworks after the Jays game at the Rogers Centre. They were 10 minutes long and were 'okay' for an indoor stadium.

We went down to the lake in Oshawa, Lakeview Park. The city always puts on a great Canada Day Celebration. We then went into T.O. to see our new little Granddaughter, Jordyn Presley Olenroot Pinto. She is really sweet! What a wonderful way to celebrate Canada Day!
