He,he - if you've been eating a "normal" diet, your taste buds are in for a big surprise :D
There is soy milk, soy hamburger and more. You should check out a Chinese menu (that has a vegetarian menu as well as a "regular one - usually near colleges). They have fake shrimp, chicken, pork, beef, etc. Personally, I'd prefer to eat just veggies and fruit (maybe some bread or pasta) to the "fake" meats.
You can get protein from tuna and other fish, peanut butter, and certain beans - possibly an egg once in a while. :)

Soy products contain derivatives from the Soy bean. Soy beans contain many healthful Omega3 fatty acids and other great nutrients.
Soy beans can be enjoyed in a dry roasted form kind-of like sesame seeds. Most products use soy as a source of non-animal protein base.
Soy rocks, it makes us better and even diesel fuel!

Most soy products are those gross milk and cheese substitutes made from soybeans. They aren't as good as the real thing, but try them anyway and see if you like them.
Course, there are also fallafal and bean based hamburgers, hotdogs, pepperoni, etc. Most of which are disgusting, but the tofu hotdogs aren't too bad.

If u mix tofu (soy bean curd) with hummus tabooli and lentil with a lil bit of garlic and lemon juice, you can make something that taste similar or even better than tuna salad.

edamame (soy beans in pods which are steamed)
I love to put edamame and tofu in with noodles and vegetables, and some form of Asian sauce (teriyaki, szechuan).

Be careful with soy until you know how you react to it. It is known to lower your metabolism, and some people are highly allergic to it. (I am.)
