My friend is turning 18, I would like to give her a fun party, but I am not sure what to do, any suggestions? What about a theme party? Sorry no booze/drugs/nudity.

Birthday Party's are always fun. I think Themes really add to the fun. Some themes that I find to be fun and easy to have other friends come dressed up in are The 80's, the 1930's and 1950's. And you could base the whole night on the theme by watching movies set in that time or that were made then. Like the 80's you could watch Goonies. With the 1930's maybe you could watch Chicago and with the 1950's you could watch now and then. If you do an 80's theme it is also fun to have fun candy that you would have seen then or that were popular. In the movie Gooines the Baby Ruth is one of the focus candy and in ET it is Reese's piece's. These are just some ideas. Like someone said above it maybe fun to have a party at a hotel. Hope this helps. I am 22 and my friends and I had a Chocolate Party and that was fun. We a color theme which was light blue, brown, and cream. We had Chocolate Chili which was wonderful and lots of other wonderful foods covered in chocolate or that where made out of chocolate. We also Painted with chocolate which was different. Have fun planning your friends party.

1. cook meat about 20 minutes until they lose pink
color but not browned (I personally don't know what
that means, since it goes from brown to pink...)
Transfer to a bowl.

2. heat oil in same pan and sautee onions 10 to 20
minutes, until `translucent.

3. stir meat into onions. Add tomatojuice (I used
puree instead cause I had it), 3 cups of water, the
chili powder, cumin, oregano, cocoa, cinnamon, and
salt. (Ann is going to cut down on the cinnamon next
time but I didn't think it was too much at all) Blend.
Bring to boil, uncovered, for an hour.

4. taste for seasoning, add more chili powder if you
like (in my opinion, you can add more of ANYTHING
if you like)

5. Stir in the garlic, corn- meal, and beans. Simmer for
10 minutes. Serve with garnishes (I usually serve rice
but did this for a change & loved it).

Deb for serving: chopped onion, shredded lettuce,
flour tortillas (but I ate it with pimento instead of
onion -- it was prettier and delicious) with pimento
instead of onion it was prettier and delicious)

She can actually go to a hotel for her birthday and invite all of her friends for the night or rent a club for the night and invite all of her friends there or you could take her shopping some place.maybe you could figure out what she likes and then figure out the theme but the pool could be availible at the hotel
